A clinical study on real athletes. Real results.
THE SCIENCE BEHIND HtoEAU®
Hydrogen-infused water has attracted growing interest for its ability to support cellular health, reduce oxidative stress, and improve recovery. But until recently, few high-quality studies had tested these effects in healthy, physically active people. That’s why the HYDRO2EAU study was launched.
- Increased running speed and anaerobic threshold.
- Improved mental and general health scores.
- Showed a positive trend in intracellular hydration and minerals
- Safe and effective: No side effects were reported.
Trial registered at ClinicalTrials.gov: NCT06788015

Lab Certifications
At HtoEAU®, transparency and scientific validation are at the core of everything we do.
Each production batch is independently analyzed and certified by H₂ Analytics, a globally recognized hydrogen water testing lab.
Our certifications verify:
- Hydrogen concentration and stability
- Deuterium depletion levels
- Purity and safety compliance (no heavy metals, contaminants, or residues)
- Batch consistency — ensuring every can meets our scientific standard
Behind the Study
Meet Prof. Sergej Ostojic
HtoEAU® has been scientifically tested in our 4-week, placebo-controlled trial on collegiate athletes. Research led by Professor Sergej Ostojic (MD, PhD) found that four weeks of daily use improved performance, hydration, and mental well-being-with no side effects.
Early results confirm what we’ve always believed: HtoEAU® goes beyond hydration—delivering recovery, performance, and health benefits supported by rigorous science.
In early 2025, Professor Sergej M. Ostojic (MD, PhD) led a clinical trial to test the effects of HtoEAU on endurance, hydration, and well-being. The study involved a group of trained collegiate athletes who consumed either HtoEAU or a placebo water every day for four weeks. The trial was randomized, double-blind, and placebo-controlled, meaning that neither the participants nor the researchers knew who was receiving which drink during each phase. This design eliminates bias and ensures credible results.
The athletes who consumed HtoEAU ran faster, both at peak intensity and at the aerobic threshold. They also scored higher on measures of general and mental health. Importantly, their lab results showed signs of improved hydration inside their cells—an effect that may support better performance and recovery. Throughout the entire four-week period, no side effects or health concerns were reported.
The trial is registered on ClinicalTrials.gov under ID NCT06788015 and is currently in the pre-publication phase, meaning the results have been submitted to a peer-reviewed journal and are awaiting publication.
Although the study group was relatively small, the findings were statistically significant. For scientific integrity, we use terms like “suggests” or “indicates” rather than “proves,” because responsible science always acknowledges that a single study, especially a first trial, is the beginning—not the final word.
Still, the message is clear: HtoEAU made a measurable difference. This early clinical evidence strengthens the case for hydrogen-infused water as more than just hydration. It supports the body from within—enhancing performance, mental clarity, and cellular balance.
